Edward ("Eddie") Tamberino

Eddie is an accomplished Throttleman and Driver in both the Super Boat International (SBI) and Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA). Eddie has also been a certified master Cadillac technician for 28 years.

His passion is boat racing. Eddie bought his first race boat in 2002 and began racing as a Driver in Class P5 with sponsor Pitman Photo. In 2004, he purchased a "newer, bigger, faster boat" (29' Scarab) to move up in racing class andpicked up a new sponsor – Marine Tech. The Marine Tech Team and Eddie had an incredible year with multiple wins. They finished the year as SBI National Champions in Class P3 and dominated P3 for the next three years. In 2008, the team started a new season with a new sponsor, National Guard, and teamed up with Watt-Ahh® later that year. In 2010, with Watt-Ahh®, the team was able to win the World Championship, beating out the world-famous race boat, Time Bandit. Over the past 10 years of professional racing, Eddie has won numerous awards, including in the 2007 Competitive Spirit Award.

In 2012, Eddie and Susan Medhurst partnered with Rob and Dana Gourley, owners of Watt-Ahh®, to form REDS Offshore Racing, LLC. Their company purchased "an even bigger, faster boat" (former racing boat Stylin' of Lake George, N.Y., a 36' Spectre) to move up into the P1 Class. Eddie and Susan Medhurst live in Englewood, Fla. and plan to be married in Puerto Rico in June, 2012.

Driver
Nathan ("Nate") Hunt

Nate has more than 20 years of experience in the high performance boating industry. Nate is a certified Suzuki technician, demonstrating and working on boats of every kind; he also teaches certification classes. Nate's passion is Cats and big power and names Roger Munn as his mentor.

In the late 1980s, Nate crewed for several boats that Munn drove, including Daddy Cool and The Spirit. Nate also owned the super boat Zero Cavity, a 38' Top Gun Cigarette with twin 950 hp Rogers Engines, built by Roger Munn. In recent years, Nate has been the Driver and Team Leader of Team Extreme Poker Run, in command of the 39 Mti, powered by 1150hp Cobra Engines. In 2011, he drove the P4-2 Team National Guard/Watt-Ahh super boat, with Eddie Tamberino on the throttles, in the SBI World Championship Offshore Races held in Key West, Fla. In 2012, Rob Gourley and Eddie Tamberino approached Nate to join the REDS Offshore Racing Team as the Driver and to promote the team. Nate is a native Floridian and father of two daughters (who also love boating). Nate lives in Naples, Fla.

Mechanic
Robinson ("Rob") B. Gourley, Jr.

Rob has spent the last three years as mechanic crew member for the race team which won the Class P3 World Championship in 2010. He serves as the CEO for REDS Offshore Racing, LLC that races a 36' Spectre Super Boat in Class P1 (formerly Stylin').

Rob is an entrepreneur in the fields of automobile performance, commercial vessel conversion and mechanical design. He received his degree in Mechanical Design from Wentworth Institute in Boston, Mass.

For more than twenty years, Rob was lead shop mechanic on power systems and heavy machinery for Alaska Petroleum Contractors and Mukluk Freight Lines in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska (the Alaskan Pipeline). In the late 1970s, while working in the Arctic, he initiated his process design work for creating water-based gases. Rob is the co-inventor of the SG Gas Technology and currently serves as CEO for the tech-related companies including AquaNew, LLC, manufacturer of Watt-Ahh® ultra-pure water, and WIT International, LLC.

Since the 1980s, Rob has also served as president of Dana Marine and Construction, Inc. (a "green" company) and is a partner in the Enginewity Technology business (improving automotive performance). Rob and his wife, Dana, live in Sarasota, Fla.
